Project Cicero is proud to be recognized as a major reuser/recyler in New York City in the Materials Exchange Development Program’s Reuse Study prepared by The City College of New York and funded by the NYC Department of Sanitation.

Girl Scout Troops of Scarsdale, NY
Once again, these highly motivated troops collected and sorted hundreds of gently used books. The Scarsdale troop named their group Project Bookworm and designed their own merit badge.

The Office of NYS Assemblyman Daniel O’Donnell
For the third year, Assemblyman O’Donnell, representing the 69th Assembly District of Morningside Heights and the Upper West Side, ran a community-wide book drive for Project Cicero. Assemblyman O’Donnell is a member of the Assembly’s Committee on Education.

O’Melveny & Meyers  and Tiffany and Co. Book Drives
We thank O’Melveny & Meyers  and Tiffany's for organizing employee book drives at their New York City headquarters, donating new and gently used books.

HarperCollins Children’s Books
Thanks to HarperCollins Children’s Books for cleaning out their editorial offices and donating thousands of new children’s books.

Blue Room at the 92nd Street Y Nursery School
Some of our youngest contributors are the students in the Blue Room. For each of the past six years, the children have saved coins to purchase and donate their favorite books. The bookplate they designed for these books says, “Given with love by the children of the Blue Room, 92nd Street Y.”

The JCC Manhattan Two-Month Book Drive
The JCC Manhattan, through its JCC Works program, once again collected books from the beginning of the year for our March drive and also provided volunteers at the Distribution Site.

Betsy Bird's Blog
Project Cicero is featured in Betsy Bird's February and March blogs for School Library Journal.  Ms. Bird is a librarian at the Children's Center at 42nd Street, New York Public Library.
